BA (Hons) Graphic & Media Design graduate from London College of Communication (LCC)
Lavin completed her BA (Hons) Graphic & Media Design at London College of Communication (LCC), University of the Arts London, before pursuing a master’s degree in Marketing at Queen Mary, University of London. She has worked as a graphic and branding designer in both Hong Kong and Shanghai, for brand design projects online and offline. With a strong passion for art and design – particularly in conceptual art – Lavin is dedicated to exploring innovative ideas and integrating artistic and technological elements into her design practice. Most recently, she launched an app tailored for the service industry, with a focus on retail, and continues to enhance and refine the product’s quality. In teaching, Lavin is enthusiastic about sharing her professional experience and knowledge with students, inspiring them to develop their own creative vision.

Tutor
BA (Hons) Jewellery Design graduate from Central Saint Martins (CSM)
Mou graduated with BA (Hons) Jewellery Design from Central Saint Martins (CSM), University of the Arts London. From a young age, she has been involved in jewellery design, fashion design, installation art, fashion styling and makeup. During her studies, she was awarded the Work Book Competition 2016/17, jointly organised by Central Saint Martins (CSM) and The Worshipful Company of Tin Plate Workers Alias Wire Workers of the City of London. She has worked in the studios of independent designers in the UK as a jewellery designer and art consultant, and also held curatorial and jewellery design roles at galleries in Hong Kong. After graduation, Mou launched her own jewellery collection, which was quickly recognised by Machine-A in London and Joyce Boutique in Hong Kong. She has a particular interest in antique furniture and clothing, seeking to strike a balance between craftsmanship and commerciality, with the aspiration of passing the heritage on to the next generation.

BA (Hons) Graphic Communication Design graduate (with First Class Honours) from Central Saint Martins (CSM)
Sonja graduated from Central Saint Martins (CSM), University of the Arts London with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Communication Design, achieving First Class Honours. In her professional life, she has continued to work in graphic design and illustration, collaborating with independent brands and collectives such as Pong Nan, Bodywork and Rice. She has also participated in a range of exhibitions, including DCMO X The Steam Room, dtby, and the GUT FEELING book launch, some of which she helped to organise. As a designer with both practical experience and digital design expertise, Sonja is passionate about encouraging students to think beyond conventional boundaries and to embrace conceptual and creative approaches in their work.

Timothy
Tutor
BA (Hons) Photography graduate from London College of Communication (LCC)
Timothy graduated from London College of Communication (LCC), University of the Arts London with a BA (Hons) in Photography. Before studying in the UK, he interned at the studio of renowned Hong Kong photographer Harlim Djauhar Winata. During his degree, Timothy worked as a photographer on projects jointly organised by Tate Modern and Tate Britain with LCC, and collaborated with IWC Schaffhausen’s 150th Anniversary as well as local brand Carnaby Fair, producing a wide range of outstanding works. Currently, Timothy is committed to promoting the local art scene in Hong Kong and education, with the aim of providing the next generation with a rich artistic environment nurture ground. He seeks to inspire students to think from multiple perspectives and to draw inspiration from everyday life. Think conceptually, and develop their very own artistic style!

Christian Stone
Visiting Lecturer
BA (Hons) Fashion Womenswear graduate (with First Class Honours) from Central Saint Martins (CSM)
Christian is a rising Hong Kong fashion designer whose work embodies a bold, futuristic and cyberpunk aesthetic with heavy influences from the Internet, pop and digital culture. A graduate of Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, with a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design (Womenswear), during his studies Christian gained invaluable experience through internships at leading fashion houses in London, Paris and New York, including Christian Dior Couture (Paris), Hood by Air (New York) and Gareth Pugh (London). Christian’s graduate collection was selected for the prestigious CSM Press Show and earned him the VFiles Designer Award. His debut collection at New York Fashion Week attracted widespread coverage by international fashion media including Vogue, Dazed, i-D and Another Magazine, immediately making him the choice of global and local stars for stage costumes and styling, such as Hong Kong icons G.E.M., MC Cheung and Edan Lui.

Jing Wong
Visiting Lecturer
BA (Hons) Theatre Design graduate (with First Class Honours) from Central Saint Martins (CSM)
Graduated with first class honours in BA (Hons) Theatre Design from Central Saint Martins (CSM), Jing Wong is at once a fashion design and theatre designer, as well as a singer-songwriter, theatre performer & director, with his very own blend of music, poetry and stagecraft. In the past, he’s co-founded local fashion brand Daydream Nation, and was awarded the Inside White Awards (Italy) and Vogue Italia Vogue Talents, as well as the 40Under40 Award. He was signed by Hong Kong music legend Anthony Wong into his indie music label People Mountain People Sea. He’s performed in local music festival Clockenflap, and as the opening act for world-renowned indie bands like Belle & Sebastiana and Kings of Convenience at their Hong Kong concerts. His songs were featured in movies such as Ex (directed by Heiward Mak) and All About Love (directed by Ann Hui). More recently, he’s directed theatre production The drifters, as well as interactive theatre works A Joyful Christmas on Doughnut Island and When the World is Your Enemy. Jing is currently pursuing his PhD in School of Creative Media (SCM), City University of Hong Kong.
